The Asitz Mountain in Leogang, Switzerland

Asitz Mountain is a fun destination for the whole family. There is an impressive range of water activities for children, including a walk-in waterfall and Kneipp pool. During summer months, children can enjoy additional activities, including a zip line and summer sound toboggan run. The Asitz is also home to one of Europe’s most famous mountain bike parks, the Epic Mountain Biking Park.

Asitz Mountain has two trails with varying difficulty levels. The Forsthof Trail is a two-kilometer hand-built single-track that passes towering rock formations and crosses several streams. The trail starts near Hotel Forsthofalm, and riders can take the LE 01 Forsthofalm-Route to get there. The Forsthof Trail reaches 230 meters in height, and riders can easily return via the Asitz lift. Alternatively, riders can opt to try out the newly built Schwarzleo Trail.

There are many hiking and biking trails available in Leogang. There is also a downhill bike park and seventy-five kilometers of valley bike paths. Leogang is a great place to experience the great outdoors, and visitors of all skill levels can find the perfect trail for them. There is free transportation to and from Leogang, and a Leogang Card allows visitors to visit all four mountains without worrying about costs.

The Asitz Mountain is an excellent destination for nature lovers. The steep slopes are not too intense, so it’s not a multi-day hike. There is also a free gondola so that tourists can easily access the mountain. There are many events and activities for tourists on the mountain, including the Altholz festival, Oktoberfest and the Fire & Ice Show. There are also daily apres-ski events as well as music performances and alpine gastronomy. The Asitz Mountain is also home to the annual TONspuren concert, held in late June and early August.

In summer, the Asitz Mountain is an excellent choice for hiking and cycling. The area offers a mountain reservoir, which provides refreshing mountain refreshment on hot days. Bike riders can pedal their way up from the Schwarzleotal valley or from the mid-station of the Asitzbahn cable car. From here, they can admire the Steinberge mountains in the distance. Bike enthusiasts can also visit the Bikepark Leogang for biking trails, which includes the Hangman II trail that runs directly back to the hotel.

Mountain biking enthusiasts can enjoy the Bikepark Leogang on Asitz Mountain, which is a paradise for freeriders and downhillers. The cable car runs from the mountain station to the intermediate station, which offers nine trails of different difficulty levels. There are also a variety of singletrails, including a technical Hangman I and a wide range of freeride courses.
